At Foote’s Pastured Produce, we draw inspiration from the natural way animals coexist within their landscapes. Our chickens are raised on diverse pastures right in the heart of Cornwall.

Starting as day-old chicks under heat in the brooder barn. Our birds are reared in small flocks to minimize stress and allow them to develop their natural curiosity. The birds are fed a high-quality chick crumb and supplemented with armfuls of fresh herbs and grass from 10 days old. 

At 24-28 days old the birds graduate to outdoor life, housed in mobile shelters the birds enjoy constant access to the pasture.

Every day, our chickens are moved to fresh areas of pasture where they can enjoy a diverse diet consisting of herbs, grasses, and insects. This diet provides huge health benefits for the birds while it enhances both the flavor and texture of the meat.

The daily move allows our birds to play a critical role in our managed pasture system by allowing chickens to do what they do best: peck, scratch, and enhance soil fertility as they move around the farm.

We are dedicated to rearing and harvesting our birds in the most ethical manner possible. That’s why we process our chickens on the farm; we take responsibility for every stage of rearing, processing, and sales.

While this labor-intensive process is reflected in our rearing costs, we believe that once you taste the delicious results of our dedication, you’ll agree that it is truly worth it.

Our chickens are available frozen, and you have the option to either collect them directly from our farm or have them delivered through a courier service. When you purchase from us, you join us on our journey to produce nutritious, healthy birds in a way that benefits both the environment and the quality of the meat you receive.
